Venice residents in environmental protest in opposition to first post-Covid cruise ship

In March, Venice introduced a ban on giant vessels, together with cruise ships and delivery containers, following considerations from residents over air pollution, and underwater erosion of the town’s foundations.

The ban will solely come into impact as soon as new terminals are constructed to permit for brand spanking new routes across the metropolis centre.

Some residents took to boats, and lined up within the streets to protest as the primary post-Covid cruise ship left the town.

Different residents welcomed the return of the vacationer season, and the roles it can deliver.
