It has been seven years since struggle broke out in japanese Ukraine between Russian-backed separatists and the Ukrainian authorities.
Since then, greater than 13,000 individuals have been killed and over one million uprooted from their houses. There’s a ceasefire, however violations are frequent.
The battle has had a devastating impression on aged individuals – a lot of whom had been trapped of their houses throughout combating.
The BBC’s Fergal Keane has reported on the struggle because it started. In 2015, he met beekeeper Anatoly and his spouse Svetlana, who had been dwelling within the front-line village of Peski.
