Saving one of many world’s rarest toads from extinction

The harlequin toad has been efficiently bred in captivity for the primary time exterior its native Panama. The three-year challenge has been a collaboration between Panama Wildlife Charity PWCC, Manchester Museum, and the School of Medication, Biology and Well being on the College of Manchester within the UK. This breeding programme might present a security web for the toads, that are in peril of extinction, as they may very well be bred in captivity and reintroduced into the wild.
