Russia’s Tajik-born Eurovision star on the abuse she’s acquired

In an interview with the BBC, Russia’s entrant for the Eurovision Track Contest 2021 has spoken of the hatred she’s acquired.

Manizha Sangin has been met with a barrage abuse from nationalist politicians and on-line commentators.

The Tajik-born pop star, who’s an outspoken supporter of the LGBT neighborhood, ladies’s rights and migrants, is heading to Rotterdam with feminine empowerment anthem ‘Russian Girl’.

The BBC’s Moscow correspondent Steve Rosenberg went to satisfy her.
