British Normandy Memorial unveiled on 77th anniversary

A memorial honouring troopers who died below British command on D-Day – and within the preventing that adopted – has been unveiled in France on the 77th anniversary of the Normandy landings.

The British Normandy Memorial information the names of the 22,442 individuals who had been killed on D-Day and on the Battle of Normandy.

Because of the present journey restrictions brought on by Covid-19, round 100 veterans had been unable to journey to Normandy, and attended a ceremony in Staffordshire on the Nationwide Arboretum.
